Rev. Nathaniel T. Moore was the First Pastor
Deconess Board was organized
Pastor’s Aid Club establised with Ellen Tinsley as President
Senior Ushers Board organized with Brother Alvin Kit as President
Brother Lawrence Summers elected as First Church Clerk
Rev. Washington Burrell served as Interim Minister
Rev. Hosea Pinckney appointed as the new Pastor Rev. Stewart A. Davenport became Pastor Nurses Unit was formed Church Mortgage was paid off
Peace purchased the property at 18th & Gales Pl., NE Washington to relocate from the H St. location Congregation moved into the new location Male Chorus was formed under the leadership of Brother L. Bradford & O. Feelings
Church expansion was completed
Rev. Henry Moses Magee became the 4th Pastor of Peace
Rev. Henry Magee resigned as pastor
Rev. Arie L. Mangrum was appointed as the 5th Pastor of Peace Baptist Church
The 2nd Peace Expansion and Renovation of the church was completed
Rev. Darryl Sanders appointed the First Youth Minister
The mortgage for the expansion and renovation was paid.
Rev. Mangrum retired as Pastor
Rev. Dr. Michael T. Bell appointed as the 6th Pastor of Peace
Three women ministers were ordained: Minister Ellen Dugger, Minister Vicki Perez and Minister Virginia Williams
The Historical Society was established Sis. Tijuana Carter appointed as President Children’s Church was established under Sis. Shirlene McCarther as coordinator
Peace celebrated its 100-year anniversary.
Pastor Bell published his book “The Eulogist” Peace began one worship service @ 10 a.m.
Erica Jefferson Scholarship Fund Established. Church Constitution amended the title of Deacon to gender-neutral.
Rev. Arica Cox and Deacon Lavinia Derr First women to administer baptism at Peace
Peace hosted a social justice and community outreach “A Heart for the Community at Peace”
March 15th last in Person Service due to pandemic. March 22nd First Virtual Live Steaming Church service. March 25th Noonday Prayer Line Established. May 2nd First Zoom Leadership Meeting.
June 6th Returned to In‐person Church Service
Wednesday Night Bible Study moved to Sunday @ 8:30 a.m.
Pastor Michael T. Bell retired and Pastor Michael C. Bell became the Pastor of Peace Baptist Church
